From a reproductive justice framework, reproductive care needs include more than the right to not have children. They also include the right to have children if you want them. Crucially, they add the right to raise children in a safe and healthy environment. What would we need to change if our systems and policies were premised on reproductive justice? 

I have worked with children for over 10 years on and off. I think often about how we can ensure that all children grow up feeling loved, wanted, safe, and respected. This piece was put together around a fetus and reflects my fear and hopes relating to reproductive justice. Every image on this canvas can be viewed through that angle. What are the varying conditions under which children grow up? How can we nurture children in a world where ICE kidnappings and double tap bombings on schools occur?
